L.L.C.O.O.L.J., Let's Learn Collectively On Our Life's Journey, is a black woman led civic engagement cohort for adults that provides access to crucial literacy and civics education to open opportunity and provoke a mindset of self determination while igniting the entrepreneurial aptitude to thrive in BIPOC communities.

Let's Learn Collectively On Our Life's Journey hosts a podcast to network, learn how to do business with the government, and develop equity-infusing programs for our community. All are welcome.

HHG’s mission is to integrate mindfulness into everyday life. That means increasing awareness not only of stresses and their complexity but also to affirm agency and build lifelong skills.

Striving for Self-Realization

HHG rapidly responds to psycho-emotional traumas in order to re-center and fortify with a foundation of self-care guidance (food, exercise and other reflective practices), historical context and skills building.

We know from experience that self confidence arises from diligent self-maintenance leading to personal realization. We are dedicated to recognize and combat negative cycles of doubt and develop sustainable resilience in all participants. How our approach is different:

  1. We identify and demonstrate mechanisms that enable transformation of traumatic experience into resilient living.

  2. People of color model behavior, techniques and values based on authentic experience and modern methodologies.

  3. Results are quickly achieved through consistent reinforcement and assessment of progress within our integrated framework that offers a motivating journey to self-realization.

Colectiva Bilingüe works in partnership with each of the Minneapolis dual language schools’ family organizations and school staff to unite as a larger community of bilingual learners. We promote and advocate for dual language programming (classes are made up of 50-60% students whose home language is Spanish and 40-50% students whose home language is English), celebrate bilingualism through culturally relevant community-building events, and promote increased transparency and equity among partner schools in how resources are raised and allocated.

Our Bilingual Climate Action initiatives, supported by the Minneapolis Foundation and the Partnership Engagement Fund, will support the launch of a holistic environmental coalition across three Spanish Dual Language Elementary Schools. Learning in the classroom, on the playground, and after school, our majority Latinx and free- and-reduced school lunch communities will unite around environmental issues to lead change.

This project will connect environmental initiatives that are currently being piloted across our three schools in order to cross-pollinate ideas and resources. This grant will be led by a steering committee of paid BIPOC parent liaisons, executed by international Teaching Assistants (TA) at each school who are specifically dedicated to environmental education, and overseen by a school staff member at each site to ensure continuity and curriculum integration.

Recycling and Compost: Las Estrellas (NE Mpls) will grow their pilot lunchroom composting and recycling program, bringing environmental lessons around waste reduction to the science classroom and through an after school green club.
